Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present this spectacular and historically captivating 1943 production Smith & Wesson Victory Model. Chambered in the reliable .38 Special with a 4-inch barrel, this K-frame masterpiece began its life as a standard-issue military sidearm during the height of WWII before being transformed into a high-art heirloom.
This breathtaking specimen features full-coverage, deep-relief Germanic scroll and oak leaf engraving that meticulously covers the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The artistry is executed by the WORLD FAMOUS master engraver Kurt Jaeger of Mainz, Germany and is signed as such “KURT JAEGER - MAINZ” on the top left of the frame. This example is a hallmark of the post-war "GI collector market" where occupation forces commissioned Suhl-trained masters to embellish their service sidearms. The deep, dark blued finish provides a rich contrast to the intricate metalwork, while the smooth, highly figured custom walnut target stocks with S&W medallions offer a regal and ergonomic interface.
The investment-grade collector package is 100% complete, arriving in a custom deluxe fitted wood presentation case with a glass viewing lid and a plush red velvet interior. The firearm remains in exceptional collector condition, featuring a pristine bore and excellent mechanics that reflect its status as a well-preserved historical treasure. This masterfully engraved Victory Model stands as a premier centerpiece for any world-class Smith & Wesson or WWII-era collection.
