Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this authentic and original U.S. Military Issued WWII 1943 Winchester Model 12 slide-action shotgun, configured in the highly desirable Trench Gun specification. Chambered in 12 Gauge for 2 3/4" shells, this combat classic features the standard 20-inch barrel with a Cylinder (CYL) choke. This example displays the correct military provenance, including the prominent "U.S." acceptance mark on the right side of the receiver and the flaming bomb stamped on the top of the barrel.

The shotgun is fitted with its original walnut furniture, featuring the correct & very desirable "G.H.D." (Guy H. Drewry) inspector cartouche and the crossed cannons ordnance stamped on the left side of the buttstock. It retains the traditional grooved "corncob" pump forend and the original checkered steel buttplate. While this is a genuine military-issued Model 12, please note that the ventilated heat shield/bayonet lug assembly is believed to be a later replacement.

The overall condition of this 1943 Trench Gun is excellent for a WWII-era combat firearm. The metal surfaces exhibit a handsome, honest patina consistent with military service, while the wood remains solid with crisp markings. Note: the steel butt plate exhibits scattered heavier pitting. The bore is perfect, and the mechanics are excellent, maintaining the legendary "Perfect Repeater" action. This is an essential investment-grade piece for any serious collector of U.S. Military small arms.
