Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to offer this Unbelievably Rare Colt Diamondback double action revolver featuring Factory Full Coverage Level "D" Hand Engraving by the Colt Custom Shop. This gorgeous work of art wears the most incredible factory Royal Blue finish, sporting the sought after 6" barrel, chambered in the Iconic .22 Long Rifle Cartridge and finished off with a pristine set of factory original Walnut checkered target stocks in perfect condition. She comes as shown in the factory original Colt Custom Shop Orange Leatherette display case with fitted velvet interior, Colt Archive Letter and some factory paperwork.
According to our research she was built in 1979 wearing serial number R51433. This particular revolver was special ordered from the Colt Custom Shop with the most exquisite and precise full coverage Class "D" American Scroll Hand Engraving by one of Colt's in-house Master Engravers. The factory Colt Archive Letter that accompanies this piece shows and proves the provenance.
These factory engraved Colt Diamondback's are the true HOLY GRAIL of all Colt Collecting and rarely ever come up for auction, especially a Level D engraved because there were literally only a handful of Colt Diamondbacks that were subsequently factory engraved!! This Beautiful firearm is in Museum Grade 100% perfect condition with not one mark or imperfection anywhere! This Colt Diamondback remains Consumer Unfired and will be listed as New Old Stock.
