Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this extraordinary Master Engraved 1919 Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine, chambered in .30-30 Winchester. This WWI-era rifle has been transformed by a master artisan of the period into a true showpiece, featuring highly detailed game scene panels and German-style floral engraving that covers virtually the entire metal surface.
The rifle features a 20-inch round barrel and an original hand-checkered wood stock and fore-end. The engraving is extremely extensive: three-quarters of the barrel, the entire receiver (top and bottom), and even the original, numbered matching butt plate are 100% fully engraved. The style is very high quality, reminiscent of masters like Rudolph Kornbrath, Kurt Jaeger or E.C. Prudhomme, executed with incredible precision. The rifle also features a gold trigger.
The original bluing on the receiver and lever is incredible, and the barrel bluing is beginning to age to a very attractive plum color. The overall condition is very fine, showing some handling and age marks typical of an early turn of the century firearm, but nothing major. The bore is very fine, showing only light use, and the rifle is mechanically excellent. An outstanding addition to any advanced collection of engraved American firearms.
