Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present an EXTREMELY RARE and historically significant Large Ring Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" pistol, manufactured in 1903. This museum-quality specimen was specifically imported for the prestigious firm of Von Lengerke & Detmold in New York at the turn of the century. Chambered in 7.63mm with a 5.5-inch barrel, this early variant features the iconic Von Lengerke & Detmold address stamped clearly on the left side of the receiver.
The condition of this Mauser is truly exceptional, retaining a very high percentage of its original factory blue finish and vibrant fire blue on the small parts. Every single component on this pistol is numbers matching, including the factory-original serrated wooden grips. The mechanics are flawless, and the bore is a stunning, mirror-bright example of early German engineering. This is a premier investment piece for the serious connoisseur of early semi-automatic pistols.
This incredible package includes an EXTREMELY RARE numbers-matching wooden shoulder stock holster that locks up vault-tight to the grip frame. The stock is in excellent condition, showing only a small chip in the lid and a superficial 2-inch stress crack that does not affect its structural integrity. Also included is a reproduction Model 1930 Mauser manual for added collector appeal. Documented Lengerke & Detmold Mausers with matching stocks are seldom encountered in this high-original condition.
