Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this stunning First Generation Colt Python, chambered in the powerful .357 Magnum. Produced in 1966, this early-production specimen represents the "Golden Era" of Colt craftsmanship, where every Python was hand built & tuned by master gunsmiths to achieve the smooth action and precise lockup that earned it the title of "the finest production revolver ever made".

This revolver features the sought after 4-inch ventilated rib barrel and boasts a deep, mirror-like factory High-Polish Royal Blue finish that remains in extraordinary condition. The presentation is further elevated by a set of premium factory original checkered walnut target grips featuring gold-colored Rampant Colt medallions. This is an exceptionally complete collector's set that includes the Colt woodgrain-style box, the original factory test target (dated 9-21-66 and signed by Otto Engelhardt), and the "Handling the Handgun" instructional booklet.

This Colt Python is absolutely Pristine, showing virtually no signs of handling or use since leaving the factory nearly 60 years ago. The gun does not look like it has been fired outside of the factory test firing. The only notable detraction is a ever so slight impression on the bottom of the grip. The bore is spotless, and the action remains mechanically flawless with a bank-vault lockup and the iconic "glass rod" trigger break. This is an investment-grade specimen that would serve as a centerpiece for the most discerning firearms collector.
