Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this ULTRA-RARE 1978 Colt Viper revolver, chambered in the versatile .38 Special. Produced for only one year, the Viper is the aluminum-framed version of the Cobra and is one of the most short-lived and scarcest members of the Colt Snake Gun family. Its rarity and documented provenance make it highly desirable for serious collectors. This elusive double-action revolver features the longer, rarely seen 4-inch barrel and a deep factory blued finish on its alloy frame and steel components. It is fitted with factory checkered wood grips. Provenance is confirmed by the included Colt Historical Letter, verifying its configuration and 1978 shipment date. The cylinder is recessed, and the bore is excellent. This Colt Viper is absolutly beautiful with the gun showing minimal signs of use, retaining a superb, high-polish finish with only a small mark noted on the front right edge of the frame. The action is mechanically tight, smooth, and flawless. A rare opportunity to acquire a legendary Snake Gun that represents a pinnacle of rarity in the Colt D-Frame series.
