Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this ULTRA-RARE 1936 Smith & Wesson Registered Magnum double-action revolver, chambered in the original .357 Magnum cartridge. This revolver is historically significant as the highest grade, custom-built large-frame revolver of its era. This example is documented with the Registration Number "REG 898".
This premier N-Frame features the exceptionally RARE 8 3/4-inch barrel—one of only 735 manufactured in this length. It retains nearly all of its professionally restored blued finish. It is equipped with a Patridge blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Provenance is completely documented by the included S&W Factory Letter, original order sheet (dated 1936), factory ledger copy, and a Western Union telegram confirming the custom order.
The overall condition is Very Fine as professionally restored, retaining nearly all of the beautiful blue finish. The grip has a small chip/crack on the left panel. The revolver is mechanically excellent, exhibiting the unmatched smoothness and precision of the original Registered Magnum action. A defining INVESTMENT piece and a pinnacle of S&W revolver collecting.
