The factory provenance explicitly confirms its 2.5-inch barrel length, its mirror-bright stainless steel finish, and its historic shipment date in 1984. Because Colt did not formally catalog or advertise the Ultimate Bright Stainless Python finish until 1985, this extraordinary 1984-shipped revolver stands out as an elite, ultra-rare pre-production run pistol, making it one of the earliest factory bright stainless 2.5” Pythons in existence.
