Manufactured by Colt in 1978, both revolvers are chambered in the legendary .45 Colt cartridge and feature 4 3/4-inch barrels with traditional two-line barrel addresses and two-line patent addresses. This identical pair is custom master engraved in a gorgeous factory 1st Generation style, perfectly highlighted by a brilliant and flawless factory nickel finish.
These wheelguns are meticulously built with factory special-order black powder pattern screw-in frames and distinctive bullseye ejectors. Engineered for competitive or exhibition shooting, the revolvers boast custom-tuned actions with lightened grip straps to provide an exquisite hand balance, alongside a custom raised front sight modified to hit dead-on at the point of aim. Adorning the frames are exceptionally well-fitted, one-piece genuine aged elephant ivory stocks that exhibit beautiful natural character and tone.
The overall condition of this matched pair is excellent, showing only minimal evidence of past use. Mechanically, the internally tuned actions remain incredibly fine, locking up solidly with smooth timing, while both barrels preserve brilliant, bright bores. This rare, premium collector set is beautifully housed and presented in a custom deluxe, double-fitted wood display case with a glass viewing top and a vibrant red velvet-lined interior.
