Atlas Collectible Firearms is thrilled to present an exceptionally fine second generation 1963 manufactured Colt Single Action Army, an absolute masterpiece chambered in the traditional .45 Long Colt with a 5.5-inch barrel. This iconic western revolver showcases early master-level artistry, making it a highly significant find for the discerning collector of investment-grade firearms.
The cylinder, barrel, and grip straps exhibit gorgeous hammer-and-chisel hand engraving by an unknown master craftsman, who left a discreet "M" mark on the left side of the barrel where it meets the frame. While the frame retains its original, vibrant factory case colored finish, the engraved components have been precisely finished in a deep, highly polished royal blue that beautifully accentuates the scrollwork. The revolver is fitted with striking, genuine Sambar stag horn grips.
As shown in the accompanying photographs, this all-numbers-matching treasure comes nestled inside a custom deluxe wooden presentation display case with a plush white interior lining. The firearm remains in superb collector grade condition, showing limited if any handling or use since the custom work was completed. It represents a breathtaking fusion of old-world grit and heirloom-quality craftsmanship.
