Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this Master Engraved, First Year 2nd Generation Colt Single Action Army (SAA) revolver, chambered in .45 LC. Manufactured in 1956, this pistol marks the start of the highly sought-after 2nd Generation SAA production. It has been transformed into a true work of art by intricate hand engraving, making it exceptionally rare and collectible.
This SAA features the classic 5.5-inch barrel and retains a strong factory Blue and Case Color Hardened (CCH) finish. The engraving is a very early style, showcasing an extremely precise and detailed zig-zag pattern across the barrel, cylinder, and frame. The revolver is accented with gold plating on the grip straps, trigger guard, and hammer (with some natural wearing of the gold visible). It is fitted with unique, hand-engraved Sterling Silver grips and is housed in a Deluxe Custom Case.
The overall condition is pristine for a first-year 2nd Generation Colt SAA, showing some careful handling but appearing to remain consumer unfired. The action is tight, crisp, and mechanically flawless.
