Manufactured in 1921 during the Prohibition era, this revolver is an absolute rarity, as fewer than 2000 units were produced that year across all calibers/variants. Chambered in the legendary .45 Colt with a 5.5-inch barrel, this specimen represents a pinnacle of early 20th-century American craftsmanship.
This six-shooter has been transformed into a work of art featuring a custom deep French grey finish. The extensive hand-engraved scrollwork is beautifully accented by high-polish fire blue screws, base pin, and trigger. The firearm is anchored by a pair of vintage genuine Sambar stag horn grips that have developed a rich, rugged character. The visual contrast between the soft grey steel and the vibrant blue accents is truly striking.
Housed in a custom deluxe glass-top wooden presentation case, this Colt remains in exceptional collector condition. The bore is pristine & bright with sharp rifling, and the mechanical action is superb, retaining all four distinct hammer clicks. While a few cylinder chambers show tiny specks of pitting from age, they do not detract from the immense investment value of this scarce 1st Generation masterpiece.
