Manufactured in 1919, just after the conclusion of WWI, this exceptional firearm features a 24-inch octagon barrel. The rifle is chambered in the highly desirable .357 Magnum cartridge (also .38 S&W Special), offering a unique blend of centennial Winchester heritage and modern custom luxury.
The rifle showcases breathtaking exhibition-grade embellishments, featuring deep foliate scroll engraving with a stippled background and dual bands at the breech. The receiver is a work of art, adorned on the left side with an embossed sterling silver buck in stride inside a blued game scene panel. The reverse displays a swooping embossed sterling silver eagle over a blued mountain vignette, all framed by crisp zig-zag borders and matching line inlays on the lever and nosecap.
This museum-quality treasure is stocked in a beautifully figured straight-grip walnut stock set featuring custom wrap-around checkering and an engraved, case-colored smooth steel crescent buttplate. It comes equipped with a hooded beaded post front sight, an adjustable sporting rear sight, and a custom-inlaid tang peep sight. The bore on this 24-inch octagon barrel is pristine & bright with sharp rifling.
