Chambered in the classic .38 Special, this lightweight revolver features a two-inch barrel and is built on Colt’s aluminum alloy D-frame. This specimen is a genuine "John Jovino" factory custom shop creation, with fewer than 100 units ever produced in this specific configuration. This specialized run was commissioned for the legendary Jovino Gun Shop in New York City, blending the utility of the lightweight Cobra with the refined appointments of the Colt Custom Shop.

The visual profile of this Jovino Cobra is exceptionally rare, featuring a high-polish factory blued finish on the cylinder and barrel that remains vibrant. It is equipped with specialized factory appointments including a pinned front ramp sight with a high-visibility red insert and a serrated frame-notch rear. Adorning the grip frame is a set of premium factory Zebra Wood stocks that exhibit a striking, high-contrast grain and have been precision-fitted to the frame. Every roll-mark is sharp and distinct, including the "COBRA" designation and the Rampant Colt on the side plate, reflecting the elite craftsmanship of this limited production run.

This Colt is in excellent overall condition, showing only minor Handling and use markings consistent with a prized and well-cared-for collectible. The investment-grade package is remarkably complete, featuring the original wood-grain factory box with a matching label that verifies the 2" barrel, and the rare "RED-RAMP FRONT" option. Included with the firearm are the original instruction manual, factory congratulatory letter, and the yellow safety hangtag.
