Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present a truly extraordinary offering: the NRA Charlton Heston special edition 2004 Colt Custom Single Action Army revolver in .45 Long Colt. This remarkable firearm features a 4.75” barrel and was factory finished by the world famous Doug Turnbull with polished charcoal bluing & bone charcoal color case hardened frame. The firearm is fitted with factory original Colt black eagle grips. The barrel is engraved “National Rifle Association” and the top of the back strap is inscribed with Heston’s signature in gold, while the buttcap reads “PRESIDENT 1998 – 2003”.
This historic revolver was manufactured by Colt and fully finished by Doug Turnbull as part of a special limited production to honor Heston’s service as NRA President. The deluxe engraving was executed by Master Engraver John Adams; which was the artist who engraved everyone of these Deluxe limited production Single Action Army's; though the firearms is not signed. The gun is beautifully housed in its original velvet-lined hardwood walnut presentation case, complete with special marked display dummy cartridges. Every surface, from the finely engraved cylinder to the vivid case colors, exemplifies top-tier craftsmanship and historical significance.
This revolver is in 100% New Old Stock condition with no signs of handling, wear, or use and remains UNTURNED! It remains unfired and is collector-grade in every respect.
