Only a tiny handful of these revolvers were ever completed in this exact Custom Shop E-Nickel configuration, making it one of the rarest cataloged variants of the entire Diamondback family. The revolver is fitted with original factory walnut target stocks featuring crisp checkering and bright gold Colt medallions. The matching serial number S71748 is sharply stamped on the frame crane and cylinder face.
This investment-grade package arrives 100% complete in true museum-quality condition. The revolver is housed in its original wood-grain outer box featuring the factory gold foil end label beneath the factory original, vibrant Colt Custom Shop neon yellow special order end label (identifying Model D5160-LNK and description "Diamondback With Electroless Nickel"). The package includes the original Colt instruction manual, the authorized service station sheet, the Colt Companion booklet, the factory welcome letter signed by President C.E.
