Specially commissioned in the year 2000 as the single Grand Prize for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) Life Member Contest, this 1-of-1 presentation piece features custom banner gold scrollwork on the frame reading "Life Member Contest 2000" on the right and "Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation" on the left. The coin-finished receiver is fully covered in meticulous, deep foliate scrollwork surrounding detailed, raised 24K gold game scenes—highlighting a flushing waterfowl on the right panel and a regal bull elk on the left. The underside of the frame carries the crisp, hand-chiseled signature "J. O'REILLY - ENG." alongside the limited edition marking "- 1-2000 -", identifying the master-level hand execution of renowned Master Engraver Jim O'Reilly.
Equipped with 28-inch ventilated rib barrels treated to a deep, high-polish Royal Blue finish, this custom Citori is stocked in ultra-premium Grade V / Grade VI American walnut displaying striking, highly figure-tiger-stripe flame patterns paired with crisp hand-checkered panels. The trigger guard features an accented gold scroll banner marked "2000" on the right side and "RMEF" on the left, enclosing a gold-plated trigger. This one-of-a-kind collector package arrives housed inside an original factory Browning Halliburton Zero silver aluminum hard flight case. The complete suite includes the factory owner's manual, choke tube case, and a total of 7 choke tubes—including two flush-fit Invector-Plus chokes and five extended Briley chokes.
The condition of this custom 1-of-1 Browning is exceptional and very fine throughout, showing only minimal, superficial field handling evidence from careful vault display and preservation. The coin-finish receiver is immaculate, retaining 100% crisp scroll definition and vibrant gold inlay details. The 28-inch Royal Blue barrels retain nearly all of their deep factory luster. The highly figured tiger-stripe walnut stock and forend are in magnificent shape, free of cracks or structural flaws while preserving crisp checkering throughout. Mechanically, the action breaks open with buttery-smooth precision, locking up tight, while both 28-inch bores remain mirror-bright.
