Limited to an exceedingly small production run of only 500 total units ever produced, this breathtaking single-action revolver features a 7.5-inch barrel, a 6-shot fluted cylinder, a vibrant color case-hardened frame, and Colt's legendary high-luster Royal Blue finish across the barrel, cylinder, and grip frame assembly. Adding extraordinary collector prestige and historical distinction, this example carries an ultra-low, single-digit serial number—TRC004—sharply stamped on the frame base. Masterfully executed factory scroll engraving flows along the barrel flanks, top strap, and cylinder flutes, making this early-production firearm an unrivaled centerpiece for any world-class Colt display.

The revolver is outfitted with a pair of smooth, factory-fitted ivory-style grips displaying a gold-inlaid "TR" monogram on the backstrap. Housed in a custom solid oak presentation case with a plush red velvet lining, brass hardware, display key, and a brass commemorative plaque inscribed "Commemorative Tribute to Theodore Roosevelt," the set remains exceptionally preserved. The complete ensemble includes the original Colt woodgrain cardboard box with a matching end label identifying Model TRC004 and serial number TRC004, the original factory outer cardboard shipping carton with matching hand-written and printed labels, the Colt Single Action Army instruction manual, warranty papers, promotional literature, and the original red warning hangtag.

The condition of this rare single-digit Custom Shop revolver remains in pristine 100% New Old Stock, consumer-unfired condition throughout, showing zero handling marks, complete finish coverage, and no cylinder drag line. The vivid color case hardening retains deep, rich blues and straw hues, while the factory Royal Blue finish gleams with full original luster. Mechanically, the action functions with smooth, hand-fitted four-click precision, offering vault-tight cylinder lockup and a crisp single-action trigger break.
