This Factory Hand Engraved 1989 Colt Delta Elite Government Model, chambered in the powerful 10mm caliber, is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. While the Delta Elite was typically offered only in blued or stainless finishes, this example was special ordered through the Colt Custom Shop with a brilliant factory Nickel finish.
According to our expert research and the included Colt Archive Letter, this is the ONLY Delta Elite ever manufactured in this specific configuration. It features factory Class "B" standard level scroll engraving and is accented with striking Fire Blue small parts, including the hammer, trigger, safety lock, slide stop, and screws. The pistol is further enhanced with factory genuine Elephant Ivory grips.
This is a Complete Collector Package, including the original factory maroon box with a matching Custom Shop yellow end label, the original manual, and the essential Colt Archive Letter detailing its unique factory provenance. The shipment was sent on June 30, 1989, to the Stacy Williams Company in Birmingham, Alabama.
The overall condition is very fine collector grade and remains consumer unfired. The Nickel finish is deep and bright, with the Fire Blue accents providing a stunning contrast. The firearm shows only the most minor signs of handling/aging and remains a premier, investment-grade center-piece for the most advanced Colt collection.
