Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present TRULY THE FINEST Henry repeating rifle ever offered: the Illinois State “Deluxe Museum Edition” from the "50-State" registry. Chambered in the classic .44-40 Winchester with a 24-inch barrel. This 2005 masterpiece was issued by The American Historical Foundation using a Henry 1860 patented Uberti rifle. It is a stunning 1 of only 2 ever produced, representing the absolute pinnacle of high-art firearms and historical commemoration.
This rifle features THE FINEST expert master level hand-engraving with nearly 20 feet of solid 24k gold inlays and sculpted 24k gold relief work depicting the state of Illinois and the Land of Lincoln. Unlike modern laser-engraved editions, this specimen was hand-cut to museum standards. Both the barrel and the receiver are finished in a deep, polished royal blue, while the furniture is crafted from gorgeous select American walnut with a high-gloss finish and golden hardware.
Included with this investment-grade treasure is the original glass-top walnut display case featuring a commemorative plaque and the original purchase documents with the actual price in 2005 being over $14,000. In todays money that is over $23,000. This rifle remains in pristine collector grade condition, showing no signs of handling or use (the rear ladder sight shows discoloration but is simply tape adhesive, it wiped right off). As an ultra-rare 1 of 2 production, it stands as a blue-chip museum piece that is virtually impossible to replace in today's market.
