Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this Custom Deluxe High Grade 1951 Winchester Model 61 slide-action rifle chambered in .22 LR. This stunning exhibition-grade firearm has been transformed into a functional work of art by Master Engraver Carl Bleile. The rifle features expert-level game scene engraving and is double signed "C. Bleile Engr." on both the left and right sides of the receiver.
The rifle showcases a beautiful contrast between the polished blued 24-inch barrel and the receiver, which features a refined, coin-like antique polished finish. This Model 61 is uniquely equipped with custom Safari-style front and rear sights. The rear sight is a custom hand-engraved 4-leaf adjustable assembly, with each individual leaf featuring a solid 24K gold inlay indicating yardage.
The furniture is crafted from very high-grade, beautifully figured walnut accented by deluxe hand checkering. The attention to detail is extraordinary, featuring unique cut checkered inlays on both the pistol grip knob and the butt plate.
The overall condition remains in very fine collector grade, showing only minor signs of aging consistent with a custom vintage firearm. The bore is pristine, and the mechanics are excellent, maintaining the smooth action Winchester's pump rifles are known for. This is a premier investment-grade Winchester for the advanced collector.
