Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this magnificent MASTER ENGRAVED 1907 Winchester Model 1886 Lightweight Lever-Action Rifle chambered in .33 W.C.F. The Model 1886 is one of John Browning's most enduring designs, and this piece represents the pinnacle of high-grade custom restoration and embellishment.
The rifle features a 24-inch rapid taper lightweight barrel and retains nearly all of its expertly applied finish. The receiver is masterfully engraved in the highly desirable No. 7 factory style, featuring detailed Arabesque scrollwork on all four sides. The walnut stock is factory checkered with a pistol grip and features an ultra-rare factory Shotgun style butt stock with rubber plate, confirmed by the included Cody Firearms Records Office documentation. This document also confirms the original shipment specifications, including the rubber butt plate and checkered stock.
The wood stock & fore end features deluxe E-style checkering and deluxe carving all factory done by hand. The condition is excellent after being skillfully upgraded and finished, retaining nearly all of the applied finish with minor muzzle wear and a few age freckles. The bore is well-defined but shows frosting. The action is mechanically sound and operates perfectly. An outstanding addition to any advanced collection of engraved or deluxe Winchester lever actions.
