This is arguably the rarest 2nd Generation SAA ever made, featuring the highly desirable 4 ¾-inch barrel and stunning Factory Deluxe Polished Royal Blue finish with vivid Case Color Hardening (CCH). The official Colt Archive Letter confirms this incredible revolver was Factory Hand Engraved by Master Engraver Robert "Bob" Burt.
The factory letter and documentation confirm this SAA is a 1 of 1 special ordered and is a 1 of 1 made second generation SAA in this configuration in 1974, making it 100% rarer than ANY factory engraved 1st Generation Colt SAA. It is fitted with genuine Pre-Ban Elephant Ivory Grips featuring Pre-War style Colt medallions. The package is complete with the original factory Colt woodgrain box, brown Styrofoam box insert, the original 2nd Gen manual, and the essential Colt Archive Letter. As one of the last 2nd Gen Colt SAAs ever made/shipped, this is the gun no one has but everyone wants.
The revolver remains in PRISTINE, CONSUMER UNFIRED CONDITION. The factory Royal Blue is deep and and the engraving is sharp and clear. The only notable detraction is a tiny chip in the left ivory grip panel. This is an investment-grade, museum-quality piece of Colt history.
