Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present a world-class masterpiece of functional art: the "Museum Collection" Bertuzzi Over/Under 12 Gauge shotgun. Hand-built in the Bertuzzi Brothers custom shop in Gardone V.T., Italy, these firearms are famously regarded as the "Ferrari of Italian Guns," specializing in Holland & Holland first-quality style craftsmanship. This extraordinary specimen, documented as number 44 of only 100 ever made, was commissioned by the United States Historical Society to honor the legendary American hero, General Chuck Yeager.

This exhibition-grade shotgun was hand-engraved by the world-renowned Italian expert Master Engraver Giacomo Fausti. The artistry is double-signed "Fausti" on both the left side and the underside of the coin-finished receiver. The receiver serves as a breathtaking canvas for 24 karat solid gold inlays, featuring the Air Force logo with thirteen gold stars, Yeager’s "Glamorous Glennis" P-51 Mustang, and a detailed bust of Yeager with his General’s star and Medal of Honor. The scenes further celebrate history with depictions of the Bell X-1 rocket plane and the date "14 OCT 1947," commemorating the breaking of the sound barrier.

This investment-grade piece features Exhibition Level "AAA" hand-checkered walnut furniture and arrives in its original deluxe Italian-made, leather-wrapped, and velvet-fitted "Nirroli" presentation case. The package is 100% complete, including five chokes, a choke wrench, and both original Certificates of Authenticity hand-signed by the Chairman of the USHS. The firearm remains in pristine as-new condition, showing no evidence of handling or use. This represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a museum-worthy work of art that bridges the pinnacle of Italian gunmaking with the greatest era of American aviation history.
