Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this extraordinary 2nd Generation Colt Single Action Army (SAA) revolver, manufactured in 1969 and chambered in the classic .45 LC. This firearm is rendered exceptionally rare by two features: a unique factory marking error and the exquisite custom engraving by a master artist.

This revolver features a mirror-bright Nickel finish and has been stunningly enhanced by a expert level hand engraver. The engraving is extensive and covers the cylinder, frame, and barrel and is signed "JR" on the front of the frame just below the base pin. We are not 100% certain but the engraving looks like the work of JR French.

The second and most notable feature is the rare factory mistake on the serial number suffix. While all 2nd Generation SAAs correctly used the "SA" suffix, this example bears the "AS" suffix on the bottom of the frame, grip strap, and trigger guard strap—a highly desirable factory anomaly. It is fitted with striking genuine Red Stag Horn grips.

The condition is very fine collector condition, showing only the faintest of superficial handling and remains unfired since the engraving work was completed. The action is strong and tight with all four clicks present, and the bore and chambers are pristine. The revolver is presented in a custom deluxe fitted display case. An outstanding addition to any advanced Colt collection, combining extreme factory rarity with master-level artistry.
