Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this extremely rare 1st Year Production 1961 Colt Gold Cup National Match semi-automatic pistol, chambered in .38 Special Mid-Range. This is an exceptionally RARE and desirable factory target variant, utilizing a specialized wadcutter cartridge setup for competition. This pistol is considered the pinnacle of Colt's post-war 1911 accuracy efforts.
This high-performance target pistol features the 5-inch barrel and a factory royal blued finish. It features the distinctive adjustable Colt-Elliason rear sight and a specialized barrel/chamber setup optimized for wadcutter ammunition. It is fitted with beautiful factory checkered wood grips with gold medallions. This is a collector-grade COMPLETE set, including the original Colt wood-grain box, the NEVER SEEN original shipping box, cleaning rod, tool, Colt medallion, and the matching serialized test target.
The overall condition is in like new condition, with the pistol retaining nearly all of the original factory bluing with minimal handling marks. The bore is bright, and the mechanics are excellent.
