Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present a masterpiece of frontier artistry: a 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army manufactured in 1901. Chambered in the iconic .45 Colt with a 7.5-inch barrel, this turn-of-the-century revolver serves as a canvas for legendary cattle brand engraving. This work carries the direct lineage of the great Cole Agee and Weldon Bledsoe.
This revolver is master engraved and signed on the butt by the famous Texas engraver David Wade Harris, featuring his renowned cattle brand motif across an antique-style gold wash finish. The vibrant fire blued screws provide a striking contrast to the gold-toned metalwork. It is fitted with magnificent one-piece screwless elephant ivory grips, featuring a deep relief-carved Native American head with a full headdress. The carving, though unsigned looks to be the work of Paul Persinger from Texas who is one of the finest Ivory Carvers in the world!
Presented in a deluxe wood display case with a plush red velvet interior, this Colt remains in exceptional mechanical condition. The bore is mirror-bright with sharp, well-defined rifling, making it as functional as it is beautiful. This is a museum-grade holy grail for the serious student of Texas engraving history, representing a rare opportunity to own a signed David Wade Harris original.
