Produced during World War II, this exceptional specimen originates from the Swissvale, Pennsylvania facility, which produced only about 55,000 pistols—making it the second rarest manufacturer of the military 1911A1.
This pistol features a 5-inch barrel and boasts the desirable Dulite blued finish, which remains in stunning condition. The presentation is handsomely completed by a set of original checkered brown resin grips and includes a single magazine. This is an exceptionally complete collector's set that includes a full suite of authentic field gear: Original US leather flap holster dated 1944 by Graton & Knight Co. Canvas M1923 dual magazine pouch marked "U.S.” and Canvas pistol belt featuring period-correct brass hardware
The overall condition of this US&S M1911A1 is Stunning, maintaining its sharp lines and vibrant military finish with only the lightest evidence of its storied past.
