Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present this holy grail masterwork: an antique Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe XX Grade lever action rifle manufactured in 1890. Chambered in the devastating .45-90 black powder express cartridge, this phenomenal piece features a 26-inch octagon barrel with a full-length magazine tube. It stands as a pinnacle representation of the finest custom embellishment from the golden era of American firearms design.
The rifle features masterful full-coverage hand engraving executed beautifully in the factory No. 10 style, strongly indicating the legendary hand of John Ulrich. The left side vignette features a beautifully detailed mountain goat above the "1890" date which corresponds with the date of manufacture which strongly implies this rifles was engraved when new. The action, trigger, and forearm cap exhibit a high-end custom gold-plated finish, perfectly contrasted by a deep re-blued barrel and magazine tube adorned with gold wire inlays at the breech and muzzle.
This museum-quality treasure is stocked in fancy "XX" grade walnut with style H checkering and a steel shotgun buttplate, with the matching assembly number 513 correctly stamped on the lower tang. The wood displays an incredible high-gloss figure throughout but does exhibit some peeling clear coat and a natural crack in the top of the butt stock but appears to be solid. Retaining over 95% of its fine custom finish with a sound action and robust rifling, this ultra-rare Model 1886 serves as a blue-chip centerpiece for the world's most advanced Winchester collections.
