Atlas Collectible Firearms is proud to present this exceptional 1995 Colt Custom Shop Single Action Army, chambered in .45 Colt. This example features the desirable 5.5" barrel, factory bright nickel finish from the Colt Custom Shop and is fitted with factory genuine one-piece screwless ivory grips. It is offered complete with the original Colt Custom Shop blue box, white outer serialized sleeve with the yellow custom shop end label, and all factory paperwork.
The revolver displays masterful, full-coverage hand engraving in the early 1st-generation Colt style. While we do not have any factory paperwork stating the engravers name, our experts — after careful study of engraving techniques and stylistic details — assert this work is by John Adams. The piece also includes the special ordered “old style” screw-in black powder frame and the three-line patent/date/address marking on the left frame, consistent with this rare variant and period Colt Custom Shop treatments.
